Turkish Lessons
For those learning Turkish as a foreign language in Istanbul
I was born
and brought up in the Mediterranean region of Turkey.
I finished high school in my hometown of Osmaniye in 1995. After two years
of university
education in Ankara, I studied at university
for another
two years in Istanbul. Then, I lived in England for two and a half
years before I came back to Istanbul and completed my university
education. I
studied public
relations, alternative medicine,
Buddhism &
meditation, psychological
counseling, and foreign language teaching
methodology in Turkey and England. I graduated from Boğaziçi
University
with a bachelor’s degree in preschool
education in 2006.
I started
teaching English and Turkish as foreign languages in 2003. I worked in
the Kyrgyz-Turk Institute of
Social Sciences at
University of Economy and Enterprise in Kyrgyzstan between
2006 and
2009, mainly
teaching English and Turkish as foreign languages, occasionally doing
psychological
counseling, and working as the head of Students’ Affairs for a
semester.
Now, as of 2010, I work
as a freelancer in Istanbul, teaching Turkish as
foreign
languages to individuals and small groups.
Thank you Vajracaksu for your corrections of my English in this page.
