About Me - Furkan Aydemir

   I was born and brought up in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. I finished high school in my hometown of Osmaniye in 1995. After two years of university education in Ankara, I studied at university for another two years in Istanbul. Then, I lived in England for two and a half years before I came back to Istanbul and completed my university education. I studied public relations, alternative medicine, Buddhism & meditation, psychological counseling, and foreign language teaching methodology in Turkey and England. I graduated from Boğaziçi University with a bachelor’s degree in preschool education in 2006.

    I started teaching English and Turkish as foreign languages in 2003. I worked in the Kyrgyz-Turk Institute of Social Sciences at University of Economy and Enterprise in Kyrgyzstan between 2006 and 2009, mainly teaching English and Turkish as foreign languages, occasionally doing psychological counseling, and working as the head of Students’ Affairs for a semester.

    Now, as of 2010, I work as a freelancer in Istanbul, teaching Turkish as foreign languages to individuals and small groups.
